    CYBER WORKBOOKS' modules are developed in three simple steps:

    Step 1: The authoring software can be downloaded from the web to create modules from existing lessons and questions, or use the wizards to create new lessons.

    Step 2: The modules are uploaded to a website, which users can access using a user name and password. Facilitators, teachers and faculty can customize the module to satisfy individual pedagogical goals.

    Step 3: User responses are recorded and graded to eliminate additional work for the faculty. Reports can be generated and printed out.

  5. Who developed CYBER WORKBOOKS?

    CYBER WORKBOOKS was developed by Professor Andrea Johnson, a Harvard-trained full law professor and expert in distance learning. Professor Johnson teaches Telecommunications Law, International Telecommunications Law, Administrative Law, and Business-related courses at California Western School of Law. In 1996 Professor Johnson taught the first distance learning course at an American law school, and has conducted distance learning courses at several institutions. Professor Johnson has also written and spoken extensively on distance education, creating virtual universities through interconnected networks, and designing electronic course materials.

    Professor Johnson has reviewed technology grants for the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She served on Mayor Susan Golding's Blue Ribbon Commission on the City of the Future in San Diego, California; and served on President Clinton's Transition Team for Science, Space and Technology under Dr. Sally Ride. Professor Johnson reviews and evaluates courses for such publishers as Aspen Publications, and accreditation organizations such as the Distance Education and Training Council.

    CYBER WORKBOOKS' modules have been successfully used at professionals schools such as California Western School of Law in San Diego, California; Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio; Arizona College of Law in Tucson, Arizona; and Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Modules have also been used internationally at HELP Institute in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and the University of Monterey in Mexico. Since its development, the platform has been upgraded to add the Skill Wizard and expand reporting capability.
